This Is Our Lives

Back in July 2007, Eric and I went for a drive to see if we could find the graves of my Hair ancestors who originated from the Blackfordby area of Leicestershire. I was pleasantly surprised to find a really well maintained graveyard and a collection of tombstones by the church entrance marking the burial spots of my ancestors. Joseph was a Farmer in Boothorpe which we discovered is an idyllic little village consistiing of just a few houses. He married Martha Oakey and they had eleven children. Joseph dies in August 1849 at the age of 74 and was buried on the 23rd of August in the churchyard at Blackfordby.
